OK, so I(like so many millions) watched Sarah Palin's speech last night. What did I think you ask?? Well, since you asked(and this is my opinion..Ilan Kwittken's opinion, not the opinion of the staff of Mentortainmenttv.com and it's lovely and talented mentors): She is very pretty and confident, and she is a great speaker. But, don't let all that fool you, my fellow Americans. I do believe that a woman can be anything she wants to, but this particular woman could very well send women back in time . If you look into her policies and moral agenda, she is so conservative, it's frightening and smells like 1950. Why 1950?? That's when women had to know what their place was. That's the era that kicked off perfection complex for the female gender. I got a little off track, but you get the idea. Back to Sarah. Should we be judging her family and their choices? Well, if she were in any other profession no, but she has been so out-spoken about not teaching sex education in schools and only abstinence, that her preggers daughter is fair game, in my humble opinion. This 17 year old stands there beside her mom, holding her baby brother Trig, belly jiffy-popped out, her hand clutching her child husband-to be Levi, who, wrote on his Myspace blog that he did not want to be a father yet, and we are supposed to look at them as normal and noble?? It is true that teenagers will do what they want, even if you teach them the many ways in which to get preggers(OK, not that many ways really, I know the facts..). The Republican Party seems to be hanging it's hope on things that have little to do with running a country, but things that could sway the extreme right. When Sarah Palin preaches abstinence and no birds-and -bees classroom talk, yes, it's fair to take a good look at her own backyard. It seems her daughter might have benefited from a little chat. While Sarah Palin was out shooting her guns at anything that moves, her daughter needed something, she needed a Mom.- Ilan Kwittken(Editor-in-Chief/Cyber Host)
